What a membership unlocks
The Landlord Wiki
N4s, above-guideline increases, LTB timelines — written by landlords who have been through it. Members only, and the paywall is checked on the server.
Webinar archive
Every recorded session, searchable. A guest sees the titles; a member presses play.
The SOLO Brief
The monthly newsletter, delivered to members automatically — no separate signup, no second list to keep in step.

Payment
Card handled by Stripe on SOLO's own Stripe account. The money lands in SOLO's bank account — Alloymobile never holds it and cannot.
Order
Thank you — that's paid.
Anything digital is ready now. Anything physical is on the packing list in the SOLO office, and Jean gets an email with the tracking number the moment it is marked posted.
Ready to download now
Links never expire and are re-downloadable from My account. Each one is tied to Jean's account, so a link forwarded to a friend does not work.

Card on SOLO's own Stripe. Renewal reminders are sent seven days before the card is charged — the single biggest cause of angry emails, removed.
Already bought from SOLO?
Anyone who has bought a guide already has an account — joining just adds the membership to it. No second profile, no duplicate on the mailing list.
Your board sees
Members this month, renewals due, lapsed members worth chasing, and total contributions — on the dashboard, without exporting anything.
The monthly newsletter
Every issue, kept here
Past issues live on solo.ca — they bring people in from search instead of sitting inside an email tool where nobody can find them.
Get it monthly
Ontario landlord news, LTB changes, and what SOLO is doing about it.
Members get it automatically. Unsubscribe from any issue in one click — CASL requires it and it is built in, not bolted on.
Fund the advocacy
SOLO's submissions, the LTB work and the member support all cost money that membership dues do not fully cover. Today this is a Variable item on Square and a PayPal button on the header — two payment processors, neither of which tells you who gave.
Why this matters more than it looks
A PayPal button takes the money and tells you nothing. Here the contribution attaches to a person: SOLO can see that Jean gave $50 in March, bought the screening guide in May, and let his membership lapse in August — and can write to him about exactly that.
Recurring, at their number
"$20 a month, forever" is the most valuable thing a supporter can say, and neither Square nor a PayPal button lets them say it easily. Here it is one radio button.

This is the end of the loop
Someone bought a guide in May. That made them a contact. The contact got the August Brief. The Brief sent them to a members-only article. The article sold nine memberships — $891 a year, from an email SOLO already had permission to send.
None of those four steps can talk to each other today.
